CIVIL GUARDS MUSEUM
The small Civil Guards museum covers the history of the regional Civil Guards staff. At the staff room’s exhibit one will find three Lotta women, the chief of staff, another staff member, a captain and a sergeant.
The exhibition is emphasising the Finnish independence war and especially the role of famous field marshal Mannerheim. Furthermore, one gets an overview of the Finnish national defence, in periods of war and peace during the years 1918-1944.
Pictures, insignia, symbols, postcards, documents and other objects, that cover the person of Mannerheim, the Independence- , Winter- and Continuation wars and the Lotta-Svärd organisation, are presented to the visitor.
The museum will be opened by arrangement.
